To stay healthy, I’ve been running three times a week for a few years now. When I first attempted to run, after living a couch / couch-adjacent life, I failed miserably. I got exhausted in, like, 20 seconds and quit. What worked for me was an app called C25K, which tricked my body into thinking I could run by asking me to run first in small bursts, then in longer and longer bursts, until I could actually do it. The thing I like most about running is that it gives me a chance to catch up on podcasts.

I’m a chicken. I value life over dignity. So I ordered warp speed and (thankfully) managed to keep it together, although I did puke in private. Anyway, I lived and kept my captain gig!

As for staying healthy, I’m a big fan of long (6 miles or more) walks up hill. I also do yoga (badly).

Job on a space ship? Oh man, I was gonna say bartender too! Since that job is taken, I’m going with stowaway. The only other job I’m qualified for is red shirt, and like I said, I’m chicken. 🐓

I risked death, because I like to live life dangerously. Which is also why I don’t exercise beyond walking to the fridge and back. And since I didn’t yak, that’s irrefutable proof that my lifestyle is completely healthy and will not have any dire consequences down the line. Ever! 😁

Thanks for the shout-out!

I sacrificed the ship to save face. Maybe in my next life, the laser cannon operator will actually be able to hit the enemy!

I would want to be the holodeck scenario programmer/tester.

To stay healthy (during the warmer months) I run three miles in the morning before work.

I needed a little escape to get my shit together but eventually went to warp speed. I preserved my standing and eventually got back to reading that huge copy of Shakespeare plays in my office.

I eat the occasional vegetable but my motivation and health took a hit the last two years. I’m trying to get back to just taking walks. I feel like spring should mark the new year instead. Our bodies and the plants can grow together.

Well, here’s the thing. My dignity is far more important than everyone’s life, so I was just about to abandon ship, but then, unexpectedly, some chunder-stopping medicine was available. I of course took it and saved the day, with a great deal of bravado, I’m sure.

Health? Keep healthy? These words have no meaning to me.
