In my last update from November, I said Adventure Snack was going to evolve like a Pokemon. Well, you can call me “Gastly,” because I was a ghost-type for a few months there. Now I’m back and I want to welcome you to Equip Story!

I’m on a journey to make art that’s more fulfilling and less capitalist-y. I’ll be sharing what I learn along the way. The new games I make will be funny, weird, and more ambitious than the snacks were. In the newsletter, I’ll be documenting how I make them. I switched from Substack to Wordpress over the break. I’ll explain why next week on Equip Story. For now, I’ll just say that Santa brought some internet drama to my phone over the holidays last year.

Hi Geoffrey, I'm an author and aspiring interactive fiction writer. I see you posted interactive shorts on Substack. I have tried to post Twine games, but no go. May I please ask how you manged to create interactive stories, even short one's on Substack? I've tried but failed and it seems to me that interactive fiction is the wave of the future. I don't see how a platform like Substack can not allow HTML so folks can create interactive stories. I've subscribed to Adventure Snack and I look forward to reading what you create.
