Wow! I just read that wiki for 1000 blank white cards and it threw me down a deep rabbit hole. Is this a game people actually play on the regular or is it more like a fluxist performance piece? Either way I'm here for it!

I played it once in college. It's a real game. Weird, but real!

Oh my goodness, I didn't play Fix Your Mom's Computer before. It's amazing and I love PAWFORD. Ugh Hana taking mom on the vacation - of COURSE.

I also love Pokemon so excited to see what happens next!

I was debating whether to link to FYMP again because I've talked about it so much on here, but I'm glad I did so you got to try it out. Thanks for playing, Willa! I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with our very special boy, Pawford. (And yeah, whatever Hana. You're super close with mom. Big deal!!!)

Excited for you to see what I've got cooking. Stay tuned!

I am so excited for this evolution! As much as I love Adventure Snack just as it is, I know without any question that whatever you do will only be better. You're a great writer and it would be fun to see what else you come up with. Count me in for the ride!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this awesomeness grows and evolves! Thanks for all you do to make the world a happier place for all of us!

What games are you planning to play over the break?

I've convinced my eldest to join me in Sleeping Gods: Primeval Peril, so hopefully we can kick that out over break. My 6 year old and I are planning a good Zombie Kidz marathon, so we can finally unlock the last of the game. We'll bring some easier games for the family when we go visit. Dragomino (also a great one for younger kids!), the Exploding Kittens games, Tokaido, Fluxx, and Calico.

It's my pleasure! Thank you for your kind words and support, Trin.

Sleeping Gods looks really cool. The art is perfect for the time period and I like that you can play solo or with others, but here's hoping you can get a game going. I played Fluxx for the first time recently and loved it. The rules changing mechanic is genius.

I’m so glad my notification came through in a moment when I was able to read this -- super exciting, especially as I’m hoping to find more gamer nerds here in 2024! I bought a used PS5 last week so I’ve started a clean Horizon playthrough which will likely dominate my break play, but there’s also a Pokémon Violet DLC drop coming. I find myself Switching after longer PlayStation jags because these ol’ (heh) hands and shoulders need the stretch break and I play almost exclusively with detached joycons.

And for non-video-gaming, I have Wickedness by M Veselak, a tarot-based RPG for three. A friend has been in the hospital for a month and won’t be out by the new year from the looks of things, so a portable game with a small footprint that helps them escape for a bit at a time will hopefully help pass the time.

Great to have you here! I'm certainly a nerd and there will be a lot more gamer talk here in the new year. You're in the right place. 🤓 🕹️

I have a hard time playing games that require quick reflexes for long periods of time because of my stupid hands cramping up like chumps. I used to be able to sit down and play a game like Super Meat Boy for hours without a break and now I'm only able to play Super Mario Wonder for maybe an hour before my body is like, "Uh, maybe not so much?"

Wishing your friend as quick a recovery as possible. Wickedness looks super cool!

Yes, argh! Wonder was the first game in a long time to give me Nintendo Thumb™️, which now also comes with Frozen First Fingers! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sorry you got Nintendo Thumb, but when you said that a flood of memories from my NES days came back to me. Nintendo Thumb was a major talking point at my school. Sleepovers could be ruined by Nintendo Thumb. Ruined!

Nintendo, the great sleepover maker and breaker since 1985 😎
