As you float up to the ceiling, it's pretty clear this new meditation app you downloaded is working. Like, hardcore. Your body? That's old news. Everything is about floating right now, so float you shall. You fly up and through the roof of the building. The rain goes right through you, which is unfortunate, because you ate a giant salty pretzel ten minutes ago.

Cloudy skies transition into the void of space. In the black night, a bright light beacons you. It's giving you a "come hither" vibe. The light glows stronger as you float nearer. In what was either an eternity or, like, four minutes, you are face-to-face with a gigantic ball of energy, aka the all-knowing Cosmic Orb. Every fiber of your wandering soul compels you to ask the Orb an important question. One all humanity is desperate to know. Now's your chance.

"Is the universe real?" you ask the Cosmic Orb. In a booming and undeniably androgynous voice, it replies...

FREE EBOOKS AND PRINT ZINES!

Happy Zine Month 2022! If you didn’t know, Zine Month is a celebration of indie TTRPG games by and for game creators. In previous years, a certain crowdfunding platform that rhymes with “Shitstarter” had an RPG zine event in February, but the company has committed to the blockchain (or not, but still kinda yes?), so lots of folks are bailing on them.

To show my support for ZiMo 2022, I’m giving away free print zines to anyone in the US who signs up for Adventure Snack through our ZiMo page, and digital zines to gamers around the world. But what about those free eBooks? I was getting to it. Jeez! I’m participating in a new indie author promotion called Heed the Call to Adventure. There are tons of writers giving away genre fiction, including a very talented author, newsletter writer, and Adventure Snack player Simon K. Jones. His post-apocalyptic novel No Adults Allowed is a standout of the promotion and a top 5 title on Wattpad.
