So, yeah, I used to be into Cadbury Creme Eggs. Now I'm switching over to Cadbury Mini Eggs. It's all about that crunch. Something about the contrast of the soft chocolate and the crispy shell makes it very hard to stop eating those Mini Eggs. If you put a bag in front of me right now, I would devour it Garfield-style.
Also, on the topic of Easter candy, do we have any Peeps fans in the house? I want to know what's going on with that.
My parents were all about stale peeps. Me? Despite my adoration of all things marshmallow, I just never really liked them, stale or fresh. I’d much prefer a chocolate covered marshmallow egg or something similar.
this is me, but i don't discriminate. i'll scarf the creme eggs and the minis ;-) my sister was the one obsessed with peeps. the trick is (i am told) you have to leave the package open for a few days to let them get stale so they're a little hard... like rubber duckies?
haha. how the secret of stale peeps was discovered, i'd hate to guess... but she could tell you exactly how many days was required to age them to perfection!
I discovered Mini Eggs fairly recently and LOVE them (as in in the last 5 years). I love Peeps. I think they are cute and I like the crispy of the sugar around it. I used to have a Plush Peep and I'm sad I can't find it.
Went to CVS and got 50 cent peeps this weekend ha! Did not feel the need to try the Hot Tamale ones as they were in a pack of 12. If someone else here would like to send me a single chick, I'll provide the stamp!
I played hardball and the entire forrest paid the price. But in my defense, I didn't start this class warfare stuff. As far as candy goes, I also used to like the Cadbury Cream Eggs, probably because they were seasonal, and therefore somewhat special. But these days I'm really focused on making every calorie count, so I've allocated about 90% of my dessert calories to ice cream and the remaining 10% to helping friends celebrate their birthdays.
I don't know of any Easter ice creams, or Passover ice creams for that matter. But since ice cream is unleavened and can be made into pastel colors, it can only be a matter of time before some ice cream brand - looking at you, Ben & Jerry's - comes up with an appropriate flavor.
I have never had a Cadbury crème egg. They have always looked unappetizing. My husband does mini eggs, but I love Reese eggs. The taste and texture of the peanut butter is perfect. The milk chocolate melts a bit as you hold it... nom nom.
I chose war. Watched the mayhem and hopefully it’ll work out in the end. I have to say, you outdid yourself with this one. Very cool one.
I tried to get things done with the mayor, but it didn't go well. :(
I had a Mini Rex Rabbit named Pokabu for a few years - they're supposed to live up to 10 years. Since nature picks them off pretty easily, you have to get them spayed or else they get cancer there - unfortunately I did not get her it in time so she passed at 5 years.
She was a very good rabbit except when she wasn't. She was super super soft - the breed that they make fur coats out of.
They can be litter box trained and some like to cuddle. They're basically like cats so I wouldn't call them low maintenance.
Argh, the mayor! There's so much political corruption in the forest.
Sorry for your loss. That's good information to have for any prospective rabbit owners out there. If rabbits are basically like cats, that makes me immediately appreciate them!
I love me some Cadbury, but Reese’s eggs are my personal favorites!
And it’s funny, I might actually rescue a bunny this afternoon! Someone on Nextdoor (lol, I know) posted about finding one in the park that had clearly been dumped. She was going to call the pound if nobody wanted it. Real friendly little guy, and my daughter’s taken a real liking to the little furry things. So if this person still has the bunny this afternoon, I’m going to surprise the lil’ one with it!
I loooove the mini eggs...but couldn't find any this year. I'm going to have to go online to get them I guess. My guy did get me some fudge and some sea-salt caramel chocolate so I may just nom on that for now.

I had chocolate covered marshmallows recently and that, my friend, is one tasty treat.

Interesting. If you asked me which I'd rather have, stale Peeps or fresh Peeps, I'd instinctually say fresh. But that might be my undoing!

I've known about Mini Eggs for a long time, but recently fell in love. I slept on them!
Though they're not my favorite, I agree that Peeps are cute and I hope you find your plush! Do you like the different flavors or just Peeps Classic?

Well done! We got 2-for-1 bags of Mini-Eggs at CVS yesterday. 🎵 It’s the most wonderful tiiiiiime of the year...

You didn't start the fire! It was always burning, since the world was hopping.
I'm in a similar boat, but with fat. Ice cream is a good choice. Are there special Easter ice creams? My mind immediately went to a pastel sherbet.

Peter Cottoncandytail where's my money?

Thank you for playing. I’m glad you enjoyed it and chose to shake up the status quo! The rhymes were a fun challenge.
You and your husband have excellent taste in Easter candy. Peanut butter and chocolate cannot be beaten.

Oh, and as for the forest? Burn, baby, burn 🔥
Oh wow, let us know if you end up getting the bunny! I bet your daughter will love him.
Reese's Eggs are very good. I love peanut butter and chocolate, aka the Ultimate Tag Team of Flavors.
I allowed things to turn to chaos, and I’m OK with that. Anything is better than sterile, homogeneous gentrification.
As for Easter candy, give me chocolate and Brach’s jelly bird eggs. Are used to love the Cadberry eggs but these days it’s just too much.
BURN IT DOWWWWN! 🤘
Jelly bird eggs takes me back. I feel like they’re the workhorse of the Easter basket. Dependable.
They’re just so simple and basic and don’t seem like a big deal, but you eat one and then you want to eat the whole bag!

Haha, I first read "my guy" like "my Easter candy hookup guy." Like you know someone you can text who'll come over with the primo Easter goods.
I feel like culture has collectively forgotten about fudge. It's powerful stuff!
