I'm seriously dating myself but my first computer—the first one I ever used—was an Apple IIe. Since that time I've owned many Macs starting with my SE, and up through my iMac now. And after a few dumb phones, I got an iPhone 3G and never considered anything else.
We’re similarly Mac inclined! My first computer was an Apple IIgs, I’ve also owned multiple iMac models, and the reason I got an iPhone SE is because it was based on the iPhone 5, which is still my favorite phone.
I really like my 11 Pro. I got it because of the camera and it doesn't disappoint. I almost never take my DSLR out any more because I actually like my iPhone pics better.
Fun story but I don't think I'd waste time charging a phone that hasn't worked in 3 years because the towers are down. But then again, apocalyptic movies always have someone trying desperately to communicate with the outside world using some kind of technology.
I think the upcoming apocalypse will set us back to those giant Saved by the Bell mobile phones. We won't be using them for calls, but as blunt objects.
I got my first iPhone when they first came out and retired my Motorola RZR. I have never had an android but tried to send a photo by text and it took me 10 minutes. Not sure I figured it out. My husband has had Macs as long as I’ve known him.
First iPhone, that’s impressive! And I definitely remember the RZR. Of my pre-iPhone cell phones, my favorite was the Nokia 3310, aka the Brick Phone. It was only for “emergencies” and playing Snake in class.
Ha! My first cell phone was (I think) a Nokia in baby blue and my mother got black. I think they cost $50 altogether 😩
They had a setting in the phone where you could compose a ringer using notes! You could add half and quarter notes, stops. I created my own ringer.
I remember a guy I knew had a Nextel phone with unlimited texts. I was like, why the hell would someone need unlimited texts?? Man, those were the days.

That’s rad! My partner has one and she loves it, too. I don’t take enough pictures to justify getting a pro iPhone.
Yeah, that's the only reason I splurged. I mean, otherwise, my 8 was fine for checking FB and email and playing iPhone games.

The ones with the battery pack? Lol

I wish we could easily make custom ringtones again. That was a good time!
For awhile, I was convinced texting was a fad. It seemed super inconvenient to have long conversations by typing them out, lol.
